This year for Thanksgiving, Chris mentioned the turducken idea and my Mom, being an amazing cook anyway, thought that she should try it. Chris was very surprised! A turducken is a Chicken, inside a Duck, inside a Turkey. My Mom had to debone all the participating players through the underside. She stuffed the chicken sans bones and put it in the duck with some stuffing. Then, she put the ducken inside the Turkey with more stuffing. To keep all components inside the 25 lb turkey, I helped my mom sew the turkey closed with skewers, and into the oven it went! The nice thing was that carving was easy because you simply slice it. It was way yummy, but I admit it was hard to tell which meat you were eating and if it was dark meat or light. Mmmm, I wish I could have Thanksgiving everyday!
