Maybe Boy Clothes Are Cuter Than I Thought!

So, I have been excited about having a boy all along, but I was bummed that I couldn't buy all the accessories that are so stinkin' cute for girls. But... I'm learning that there are really cute outfits for boys too! I bought this last night for next winter and am way too excited about it! And yes, I admit, my heart belongs to the preppy style!

We're Thinking Blue!

I am totally belated in posting this, but, it's a boy!!!

The pic is a little blurry, but also pretty obvious! This is essentially looking up/underneath his bum. We're so excited! I've already bought lots of clothes and we're stocking up on diapers. I admit, hair bows and girly clothes are probably more fun to buy, but we couldn't be happier about our little boy! I just hope I get a girl in the future!

Our ultrasound was done on December 22, 2010 when I was 17 weeks 5 days pregnant. So, a little early, but it was such a great Christmas present to know that our little boy was measuring exactly to date!

The above pic was taken towards the end after I was asked to empty my bladder to get him to move so the tech could better check his heart. He moved one arm which was enough for her, but before he moved he tucked both his arms in front of him with his hands by his face. This is something I do while I sleep, so it's cool to see that traits like that can carry even at such early development!

So after a wonderful Christmas with my whole family (except Joey since he's on his mission, but at least we got to talk to him for a minute!), we were walking into a movie when I got a call from my Doctor's nurse. They want me to repeat the ultrasound on January 10 because my cervix is a little short. The rollercoaster continues! It's possible I may just have a short cervix and there's nothing to worry about, but they don't know because I don't have any other kids. So if it is getting shorter they may have to stitch it closed or put me on bedrest again! If there's no change, there're no worries. Of course, after that call I started analyzing all the little twinges that are probably normal. I went into the office to get checked out and doc gave me a clean bill of health, he just wants a repeated ultrasound to double check. So on the bright side, I'm so glad he's proactive and dotting his I's and crossing his T's, and I'm always happy to see baby again soon! I'm trying not to worry, baby is still moving and growing exactly as he's supposed to, which is a greater blessing than I ever could've hoped for. Just another week to wait. I think I'm definitely putting in my time on practicing patience!
