I can't believe Noah will be 8 weeks tomorrow! He was born at 9:59pm on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 via emergency c-section. He was 9 lbs 15 oz and 22.25" long. It's so little time and also so much, we already can barely remember life without him in it! There's so much to catch up on, so I'm going to start from today and try to fill in the holes as I get a chance. I've written most of his birth story and will post that in another post, but I'll warn you, it's pretty lengthy!
A few things we know about Noah are:
-He loves music. Baby Beluga is sure to get him smiling, laughing and trying to sing along. He also is starting to really like the Wheels on the Bus, although last time I sung it to him, he got a frowny face when I got to the babies go wah, wah, wah - maybe a coincidence, but still pretty stinkin' cute if you ask me.
-He was a little unsure of the bath at first, but then he just started today splashing a little bit and seems really proud of himself.
-Is a night owl, which is great for Chris and I since we're night people too.
-He loves to snuggle and loves his tummy time on Chris' tummy.
-Likes to talk to us, but is really shy about it. He often tells Chris all about his day, but does so very quietly, like he's unsure of his words.
-Has discovered himself in the mirror, who, by his smiles, he thinks is pretty cute.
-Has had a really hard time napping, but sleeps great at night, only to wake up to eat. Although, yesterday and today he's done well on his naps, maybe a new trend? Do I dare hope?
-He likes to sleep inclined a little bit, making the lounger (Thanks Jess!) one of his favorite spots for a nap, and inspiring us to elevate the head of his bed a little.
-He is in some 3-6 mos clothes and is stretching his 0-3 mos clothes as far as they go. I love that he's solid, but I will miss those little clothes so much, I can't believe how much he's already grown!
-Full on laughs out loud in his sleep!
-He may be more loved than any baby ever by his parents! I know I'm a little biased, but he is seriously the best baby ever!
-The list goes on, so I'll save more for next post!
